The curator of the exhibition, John G. Hanhardt, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, guides a tour through Nam June Paik: Global Groove 2004. The tour takes place in English.

23.04.2004 – Nam June Paik: Art & Artist, Conversation, 7:00 p.m.
Prof. Dr. Wulf Herzogenrath, Kunsthalle Bremen, and John G. Hanhardt, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, talk about the works of Nam June Paik. Both art historians have accompanied the work of Paik over several years in scholarly publications and as curators. The program takes place in English.

The Ensemble Ki, Augustin Maurs and Luigi Gaggero, plays works by Elliot Carter and John Cage as well as by Thomas Seelig and Fabien Lévy.

22.06.2004 - NJP_Museum_Matrix: A Museum for Nam June Paik, lecture Kirsten Schmel, 7 p.m.
Prof. Kisten Schemel, Kirsten Schemel Architekten BDA, won last years interantional architecture compatition for a Nam June Paik Museum in Yong-In, South Korea. At the Deutsche Guggenheim the Berlin architect will present her awarded concept, for which she has also been commissioned with the project's realisation.

FILMPROGRAM – Paik and the Worlds of Film and Video, 1965-1974

This series presents Nam June Paik’s films which he made in collaboration with Jud Yalkut, as well as his early works on video. An additional selection of films by Robert Breer, Michael Snow, Stan VanDerBeek and others, places Paik’s work in the context of American avant-garde cinema. Paik and the Worlds of Film and Video, 1965-1975 takes place in cooperation with the Kino Arsenal.
